We were really taken with the range of award winning Gommini Ross rocking horses when we saw them at Nuremberg Toy Fair.

It's unique in two ways.

Firstly the traditional rocking horse is given a contemporary design without losing classic feel. The sleek lines will make it a real modern day heirloom gift. The designers have created clever 'rein' handles for a safe grip. Children's feet rest on 'stirrup' shaped foot holes. Large rockers provide large swings but are formed to have safety 'hooves' at each end so as to avoid over-rocking.

Secondly the modern materials set the rocking horse aside from others. The Gommini Ross rocking horse is made from Valchromat - a unique wood fibre material and forestry byproduct. It has a much greater strength than the MDF you and I know. Fibres are individually coloured with organic pigments and the material is finished with natural resins. Valchromat is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and water repellent.
